
Clare Rossini
Clare Rossini’s poems and essays have appeared widely in journals and anthologies, including The Paris Review, The Kenyon Review, Poetry, and The Best American Poetry series. She has published three books: Winter Morning with Crow (University of Akron Press, 1997), winner of The Akron Poetry Prize; Lingo (University of Akron Press, 2009); The Claudia Poems, a chapbook (Minnesota Book Arts, 2010, out of print); and co-edited the anthology The Poetry of Capital (University of Wisconsin, 2020). She has received grants, fellowships, and residencies from a variety of organizations, including the states of Minnesota and Connecticut, MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, the Guthrie Centre in Ireland, and the American Academy in Rome. After four decades of college teaching, as well as ten years on the faculty of the Vermont College Low-Residency MFA Program, Clare recently retired. A longtime resident of West Hartford, Connecticut, she continues to teach at conferences and is making plans for an environmental organization involving poetry and birds.
