Ena Selimović

Ena Selimović is a DMV-based translator, writer, and co-founder of Turkoslavia, a translation collective and journal. Her work has appeared in Words Without Borders, The Paris Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, World Literature Today, and elsewhere. She has received support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the American Literary Translators Association. Her latest translation—of Maša Kolanović's Sloboština Barbie (Underground Barbie)—was published by Sandorf Passage in early 2025. The same year, her translation of Tatjana Gromača’s novella Crnac (Black) won Trafika Europe's Prize for Prose. She holds a Ph.D. in comparative literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
