John Nieves

John A. Nieves has poems forthcoming or recently published in journals such as Alaska Quarterly Review, The Iowa Review, American Poetry Review, and 32 Poems. A 2025 Pushcart Prize winner, he also won the Indiana Review Poetry Contest in 2011 and his first book, Curio (Elixir Press, 2014), won the Elixir Press Annual Poetry Award. He is an associate professor of English at Salisbury University in Maryland and an editor for The Shore Poetry.
