Jorrell Watkins
Jorrell Watkins is from Richmond, VA. His chapbook, If Only the Sharks Would Bite (Black Rock Press, 2020), won the inaugural Desert Pavilion Chapbook Series in Poetry. He is the author of PlayHouse: poems (Northwestern University Press, 2024). His poems have been published by LARB Quarterly, Black Warrior Review, Bennington Review, and Obsidian. Currently, he is a PhD student in poetry at the University of Southern California.
