Margaret Mackinnon
Margaret Mackinnon is the author of two books, The Invented Child (Silverfish Review Press, 2013), winner of the Gerald Cable Book Award and the Library of Virginia Literary Award in Poetry; and Afternoon in Cartago (The Ashland Poetry Press, 2022), winner of the Richard Snyder Memorial Publication Prize; as well as a chapbook, Naming the Natural World (The Sow’s Ear Poetry Review, 2018), winner of The Sow’s Ear Chapbook Award. Her poems have appeared in many journals, including Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, Image, diode, and Alaska Quarterly Review. She lives in Richmond, VA, where she leads occasional poetry workshops.
