Zlatan Nezirović
Zlatan Nezirović (b. 1970, Sarajevo) began his career before the war as a journalist. He spent the war in Sarajevo, working with RTV-BiH and writing for wartime editions of BH Dani and Oslobođenje. In the post-war years, he worked at a television station in Abu Dhabi before returning to Sarajevo. Since 2018, he has lived in Istanbul with his family. His short stories have appeared in wartime Oslobođenje, and more recent works can be found online at Miljenko Jergović’s Ajfelov most. His first book—Pionirska dolina, Sarajevo (Sarajevo, Pioneer Valley)—was published in 2022 by Buybook (in Bosnia and Croatia) and RendeBooks (in Serbia and Montenegro). Jergović hailed it “the first and the last book about Sarajevo” (prva i posljednja knjiga o Sarajevu).
