ART 180 | What Do You Stand For?

Rob Gibsun

Rob Gibsun
I am a visual artist and a performance poet. I have two working ears, two working eyes and one mouth. Thus, I listen and observe more than I speak; so that when I speak, the images I visually and verbally create are concise and profound. In this painting, I celebrate my identity: I am a black person harboring a spectrum of colors in my skin, I am inherently fascinated with our moon and our sun, and like the sun, every day I rise to the music of my he(art): the undying drum.
