Heart

The range expands the dead
fall through sunlight, coloring

my gun laughs
a feast

from a hundred yards I feast
accurately

I am the heart of my weapon
the steel hums

I’m the body I’m still living

ina crossbowlike a
celebration.I’ll give us

a war we can count on  end
