Pact

We are bound, you and I, even more so
perhaps than each to him, since we both receive
him, each of us loved partially by him

However much we want to conquer all,
still he consigns this for you, that for me,
and calls it an adventure

We know better,
don’t we, sister? We know we can’t be enemy,
as much as we rival against each other

You and I are actually the intimates—
studying each other—still life to painting,
battle plan to field of slain and fallen warriors,

whose faces almost could be smiles instead
of grimaces, so like his face above us
each  end
