Debarati Mitra has published four collections of poetry: Bhutera O Khuki (Ghosts and Little Girl, Ananda Publishers, 1988), Jubaker Snan (The Young Man’s Bath, Ananda Publishers, 1978), Amar Putul (My Doll, Satarupa Publishers, 1974), and Andha Skoole Ghanta Baje (A Bell Rings in the School for the Blind, Satarupa Publishers, 1974). Her poetry has appeared in two anthologies: In Their Own Voice: The Penguin Anthology of Contemporary Indian Women Poets (Penguin Books India, 1993) and Majestic Nights: Love Poems of Bengali Women (White Pine Press, 2008). Her poems have been translated to English by Carolyne Wright and Paramita Banerjee in AGNI, Artful Dodge, and other publications. She earned her MA at Jadavpur University.  end
