DARNELL ARNOULT

Darnell Arnoult is the author of the novel Sufficient Grace (Free Press, 2006), and two poetry collections from Louisiana State University Press: Galaxie Wagon (2016) and What Travels with Us (2005), which won the 2005 Weatherford Award and the 2006 Southern Independent Booksellers Association (SIBA) Book Award. Her work has appeared in Southern Cultures, Southwest Review, Asheville Poetry Review, and Appalachian Heritage, and has been anthologized in The Southern Poetry Anthology, Volume VII: North Carolina (Texas Review Press, 2015) and Appalachia Now: Short Stories of Contemporary Appalachia (Bottom Dog Press, 2015). She was the recipient of the 2009 Mary Frances Hobson Medal for Arts and Letters. Arnoult is co-executive editor of Drafthorse: A Literary Journal of Work and No Work, co-director of the Mountain Heritage Literary Festival and the Appalachian Young Writers Workshop, and Writer-in-Residence at Lincoln Memorial University.  end
