Lee Conell is the author of the collection of stories Subcortical (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2017). Her fiction has appeared in publications such as Indiana Review, The Sewanee Review, Kenyon Review Online, and Glimmer Train. She is the recipient of the 2016 Chicago Tribune’s Nelson Algren Literary Award and an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission. She teaches at Vanderbilt University.
