KEN WEITZMAN

Ken Weitzman’s most recent play, Halftime with Don, premiered in July at New Jersey Repertory Company and is also slated for productions at B Street Theatre and the Phoenix Theatre as part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Weitzman’s previous productions include The Catch (The Denver Center Theatre Company), which was awarded the Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award; Fire in the Garden (Indiana Repertory Theatre), which was the winner of the Mario Fratti-Fred Newman Political Play Contest; The As If Body Loop (Humana Festival); and Arrangements (Atlantic Theatre Company), which won The L. Arnold Weissberger Award for Playwriting. He was also awarded South Coast Repertory’s Elizabeth George Commission for an Outstanding Emerging Playwright. Weitzman teaches at Stony Brook University in New York.  end
