Fragments Reconstructed from a Poem

embroidered
my pain drips
behind a laurel tree
the loom
disarms

desire
poured

salt sea,

mortal women
awake

your face
a deed
I am coming
your face
a lyre
I want

riverbanks
wreaths

tongues
oil

remind
us Eros
you burn
whiter than an egg

chasing and floating
my voice is empty

swollen
iron knives
tender breasts
dim corpses

basket and oar
embroidered
my pain drips
I am coming
