back RALPH ANGEL

Untitled

Against the slope of the embankment
every morning the party’s over

Against the slope of the embankment
against the morning

against the sweetness of the stars and sky
against the water

lapping up the stone steps
of your building

I’m backing down
’til morning

You touch yourself and know
I live in silence

I want the night to stretch us
against the flowering

and blue
