Cherene Sherrard is the author of the poetry collection Vixen (Autumn House Press, 2017), and a chapbook, Mistress, Reclining (Finishing Line Press, 2010), which won the New Women’s Voices award. A Cave Canem fellow, her fiction and poetry have appeared in Crab Orchard Review, The Los Angeles Review, New York Times Magazine, Obsidian III, and Prairie Schooner. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including a Wisconsin Arts Board Grant and fellowships to Ragdale and Sewanee Writers’ Conference. She teaches in the English Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
