Amina Gautier
AMINA GAUTIER

Amina Gautier is the author of three short story collections: The Loss of All Lost Things (Elixir Press, 2016), winner of the Elixir Press Fiction Award; Now We Will Be Happy (University of Nebraska Press, 2014), winner of the Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Fiction; and At-Risk (University of Georgia Press, 2012), winner of the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction. Her work has appeared in The Oxford American, Pleiades, and The Southern Review, among others. She is the recipient of multiple awards, including the PEN/MALAMUD Award for Excellence in the Short Story (2018), the Eric Hoffer Legacy Fiction Award (2018 and 2015), the Phillis Wheatley Book Award in Fiction (2017), the International Latino Book Award (2017 and 2016), and the Chicago Public Library’s 21st Century Award (2016). She has taught at DePaul University, Marquette University, Saint Joseph’s University, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of Miami. Gautier is a staff member for the Sewanee Writers’ Conference.  end
