DAN O’BRIEN

Dan O’Brien is the author of Our Cancers (forthcoming, Acre Books, 2021). His previous poetry collections are War Reporter (Hanging Loose Press in the United States/CB Editions in the United Kingdom, 2013), Scarsdale, (Measure Press/CB Editions, 2014), and New Life (Hanging Loose Press/CB Editions, 2015). Most recently his play The House in Scarsdale: A Memoir for the Stage received the 2018 PEN Award for Drama. He is a recipient of the 2013 Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize, the 2013 Edward M. Kennedy Prize for Drama Inspired by American History, the 2014 Horton Foote Prize for Outstanding New American Play, a Rockefeller Foundation Residency in Bellagio, Italy, and a Guggenheim Fellowship in Drama & Performance Art in 2015–2016.  end
