Playbill for Monologues from Songs from Bedlam

David Bridgewater has been a professional actor for the past 18 years and is a member of Actor's Equity Association. He received his BFA in Theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1985. Regional credits include work at Mill Mountain Theatre, Charlotte Shakespeare Company, and Shakespeare by the Sea. He has performed in numerous local and national TV commercials and has appeared in the feature films Domestic Disturbance and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. He is currently playing the role of John Proctor in Barksdale Theatre's production of The Crucible. Directing credits include Italian American Reconciliation, Arizona Anniversaries, After You, and The Man Who Couldn't Dance. Brodgewater lives in Hanover County, Virginia.

 

Irene Ziegler has performed in over a hundred regional stage productions. She played the principal in the television series, Dawson’s Creek, Space’s mom in Showtime’s Going To California, and guest-starred on the now defunct series American Gothic. Other TV and film credits include The Contender, which was nominated for two academy awards, G. I. Jane, Homicide, The Vernon Johns Story, The Lookalike, Love’s Deadly Triangle, and The Perfect Daughter. Irene’s play, Rules of the Lake, was awarded the Mary Roberts Rinehart Award in drama. Rules of the Lake is also the title of her collection of linked short stories, published by Southern Methodist University Press. She has also written for the Discovery Channel’s New Detectives series, and is the author of a dozen award-winning training films. She has recently completed two collections of monologues for actors, 222 Monologues From Literature and 222 Monologues From Movies, both forthcoming from Smith & Kraus.
