È un sole bianco che intenerisce
sui monumenti le donne di bronzo.
Vorresti sparire alle case, destarti
ove trascinano lenti carri
sbarre di ferro verso la campagna—
ché là pei fossi infuriano bambini
nell’acqua, all’aurora
e vi crollano immagini di pioppi.
Noi, per seguir la danza
di un vecchio organo
correremmo nel vento gli stradali . . .
A cuore scalzo
e con laceri pesi
di gioia.
