Key West

Key West was originally commissioned by Manhattan Theatre Club, where it received subsequent performance readings. It was part of the New Works/New Voices series of public readings at The Play Company in New York City in September, 2001, as well as the "Faith at Stake" new play reading series at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco in February 2003. It has also been developed by Rattlestick Theatre in New York, and by the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Key West will run as a rehearsed reading at the Black Dahlia Theatre in Los Angeles November 7-9, 2003, directed by Michael Jaeger. (For more information, see Links.)

Blackbird presents the text of the play in its entirety, as well as a recording of its second act, "South."

Theatre IV of Richmond, Virginia, helped coordinate the recording.
