Catherine Pierce is the author of Animals of Habit (Kent State, 2004), winner of the Wick Chapbook Competition. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Slate, Third Coast, Gulf Coast, Barrow Street, Smartish Pace, Mid-American Review, Bellingham Review, and elsewhere. She earned her MFA from Ohio State University and currently lives in Columbia, Missouri, where she is a PhD candidate/creative writing fellow at the University of Missouri.
