CAROLYNE WRIGHT

Carolyne Wright is the author of A Change of Maps (Lost Horse Press, 2006) and Seasons of Mangoes and Brainfire (Lynx House Press, 2000), which received the Blue Lynx Prize, the Oklahoma Book Award in Poetry, and an American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation. Her work was anthologized in Majestic Nights: Love Poems by Bengali Women (White Pine, 2008). Other books of poetry include Premonitions of an Uneasy Guest (Hardin-Simmons University Press, 1983), winner of the AWP Award Series for Poetry, and Stealing the Children (Ahsahta Press, 1978), as well as the invitational chapbook Carolyne Wright: Greatest Hits 1975–2001 (Pudding House). Her collection of essays, A Choice of Fidelities: Lectures and Readings from a Writer’s Life, was published by Ashland Poetry Press in 1994. She has also published translations of Spanish and Bengali poetry.  end
