Peter Filkins
Peter Filkins has previously published five poetry collections, including The View We’re Granted (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2012) and Water/Music (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2021), and he has new poems appearing in The Common and The New Criterion. He is the translator of Ingeborg Bachmann’s collected poems, Darkness Spoken (2nd Edition, Zephyr Press, 2024) and is currently at work on a biography of Bachmann with the support of a 2022 Guggenheim Fellowship, a 2023 Fulbright Fellowship, and a 2024 NEH Public Scholars Award. He lives in Massachusetts and teaches writing and literature at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, as well as courses in translation at Bard College.
