Chelsea Gillenwater is a third-year MFA student in fiction at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she served as the 2014–2015 lead associate editor for Blackbird. She was an associate editor and contributor for Philologia, where she has published fiction and nonfiction. She earned a BA in English and communication from Virginia Tech.
