JEFFREY BLOUNT

Jeffrey Blount is the author of three novels: The Emancipation of Evan Walls (Koehler Books, 2019), winner of the 2019 Readers’ Favorite Book Award, American Bookfest Best Book Award, and Shelf Unbound Notable Book Award; Hating Heidi Foster (self-published, 2012), winner of the 2013 Readers’ Favorite Book Award for young adult literature; Almost Snow White (Alluvion Press, 2013), winner of the 2013 USA Best Book Awards. He is also an Emmy award-winning television director and a 2016 inductee to the Virginia Communications Hall of Fame. Commenting on issues of race, social justice, and writing, Blount has been a contributor for The Washington Post, HuffPost, theGrio, and other publications.
