DENISE LOW

Denise Low is the author of thirty books of prose and poetry, most recently Wing (Red Mountain Press, 2021) and Shadow Light (Red Mountain Press, 2018), winner of the 2018 Red Mountain Press Editor’s Award. Her work appears in Connecticut Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, New Letters, Yellow Medicine Review, North American Review, and others. Her memoir The Turtle’s Beating Heart: One Family’s Story of Lenape Survival (Bison Books, 2017) was a finalist for the Hefner Heitz Award. The 2007–2009 Kansas Poet Laureate, she has a PhD in English literature from the University of Kansas and an MFA from Wichita State University. She teaches at Baker University.  end
