PHILIP GROSS

Philip Gross’s most recent book, The Water Table (Bloodaxe, 2009), was the winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize for Poetry. He is the author of several volumes published by Bloodaxe, including The Egg of Zero (2006), Mappa Mundi (2003), and Changes of Address (2001) which is a compilation of his earlier poetry. Gross has also published two collaborative works, I Spy Pinhole Eye (Cinnamon Press, 2009) and The Abstract Garden (The Old Stile Press, 2006). He is the author of ten young adult novels published by Oxford University Press, including The Storm Garden (2006), The Lastling (2003), and Going For Stone (2002). His collection of poetry for children, The All Nite Cafe (Faber and Faber, 1993) won the Signal Award. Gross teaches at Glamorgan University in Wales.  end
