Janet Peery is the author of two novels, a short story collection, and a novella and stories. Her short stories appear in Southern Review, StoryQuarterly, Shenandoah, Southwest Review, Kenyon Review, American Short Fiction, and elsewhere. A finalist for the National Book Award in Fiction, she is the recipient of a Whiting Writers Award, the Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Library of Virginia Literary Award, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.
