David Wojahn’s eleventh collection of poetry, For the Scribe, was published in 2017 by the University of Pittsburgh Press. His eighth collection, World Tree (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2011), was awarded the 2012 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets. His collection Interrogation Palace: New and Selected Poems 1982–2004 (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2006) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and winner of the 2007 O.B. Hardison, Jr. Poetry Prize from the Folger Shakespeare Library. He has recently finished a new collection of criticism, Addressee: Further Essays on Contemporary Poetry. He has received numerous awards and honors, among them a Guggenheim Fellowship (2003), two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships (1982, 1994), the 1987–1988 Amy Lowell Traveling Poetry Scholarship, and the 2008 Carole Weinstein Poetry Prize. Wojahn teaches at Virginia Commonwealth University and in the MFA in Writing at the Vermont College of Fine Arts.  end
