Nomi Stone
NOMI STONE

Nomi Stone is the author of the poetry collection Stranger’s Notebook (TriQuarterly Books/Northwestern University Press, 2008). Her poems have been published or are forthcoming in Guernica, Poetry Northwest, Drunken Boat, and Best American Poetry 2016, among others. Stone is an MFA candidate in poetry at Warren Wilson College and a PhD candidate in cultural anthropology at Columbia University. She earned an MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from Oxford and was a Fulbright Scholar in creative writing in Tunisia. Stone has lived throughout Northern Africa and the Middle East, and currently resides in New York, where she is currently at work on Kill Class, a collection of poems based on her fieldwork within US combat simulations.  end
