Katherine Mooney Brooks’s reviews and other works have appeared in Blackbird. She is a second-year MFA student in poetry and nonfiction at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she serves as the lead associate editor for Blackbird. Brooks was the 2017 recipient of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Graduate Nonfiction Award. She previously served as managing editor of Dogwood at Fairfield University.
